This role involves various HR duties, including recruiting, owning new hire orientation, managing the employee handbook, and handling employee relations.Major responsibilities- Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations- Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)- Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations- Accountable for completing various tasks and the daily operations of the HR department- Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook- Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews- Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees- Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters- Engage with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors- Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures- Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
